WHAT IF THE LONG-TERM CARE FACILITY ASKS ME TO MOVE?
If a Long-Term Care Facility asks you to move, you can only be moved if:
- The home cannot meet your needs.
- You no longer need Long-Term Facility Care.
- The health or safety of other residents is endangered.
- You do not pay for your stay.
Prior to Moving:
The Long-Term Care Facility must tell you in writing…
- The reason for the move
- When and where you would go
- How to appeal
- And that you can stay until your appeal is heard
