United Way of East-Central Alabama is encouraging those seeking food resources to call 2-1-1 or text ALFOOD to 898-211 to access resources that are available to them.
While sharing lists of resources on social media comes from a place of care and goodwill, changes in available resources can change quickly based on high client traffic at our food pantries. 2-1-1 will be the best source for up-to-date information.
In response to recent delays in SNAP benefits and missed paychecks, United Way of East Central Alabama has reactivated the Community Crisis Fund to provide support for local food pantries serving families in Calhoun, Cleburne, and Randolph counties. 100% of all donations to this fund will be used to support local food banks and emergency assistance programs that help our neighbors meet vital basic needs.
